Video poker players, I suggested, want to feel they're getting a fair shot at the casino's money. They're less jackpot-oriented than slot players - a $1,000 jackpot on for a royal flush on a quarter machine, one that occurs only about once per 40,000 hands is fine with them, as long as they feel they're staying in action long enough to have a.

There's a discussion of MultiStrike + STP machines in this thread: http://wizardofvegas.com/forum/gambling/video-poker/8730-multistrike-stp/ .
Seems like the consensus is that when STP is activated, the free ride probabilities are dropped so that the game's EV stays close to the same. Also, the strategy gets even harder for minimal gain and higher variance, so the thread recommends sticking with just MultiStrike.

STP MS essentially has 12(?) different strategies: 1x, 2x, 3x, or 4x on line 1, 2, or 3. However, some are likely to be quite similar (although I haven't wasted the time to calculate them all out....not a quick process).

Like other multi hand games from IGT, Super Times Pay allows you to play this game through several different variations. Below you can see common games available through a Super Times Pay bundle:

  • Bonus Poker: You get bonus payouts for different 4 of a kind hands. The starting payout is a pair of jacks.
  • Bonus Poker Deluxe: You receive even larger bonus payouts for 4 of a kinds. The downside is that a two pair only pays 1 coin, rather than the 2 coins offered in Bonus Poker.
  • Deuces Wild: All 2s are wild, which allows you to form a 5 of a kind. The catch is that a 3 of a kind is the lowest qualifying payout.
  • Deuces Wild Bonus: Same as Deuces Wild, except that you get a bonus payout for four 2s and an ace kicker.
  • Double Bonus Deuces Wild: You get bonus payouts for 5 of a kind hands.
  • Double Bonus: You receive bonus payouts for 4 of a kinds, and the highest one is for four aces.
  • Double Double Bonus: Larger bonus payouts, with a special payout for 4 aces with a 2, 3, or 4 kicker.
  • Jacks or Better: The most common video poker variation, Jacks or Better is named after how the lowest quality hand is a pair of jacks.
  • Joker Poker: A joker wild card is included, making this a 53 card deck. Joker Poker plays much like Jacks or Better, except that the lowest qualifying hand is a pair of kings.
  • Super Double Bonus: Offers higher payouts than Double Bonus for hands of four kings through jacks; four 5s through 10s; and four 2s through 4s.
  • Super Double Double Bonus: As compared to Super Double Bonus, you receive double bonus payouts for all 4 of a kind hands.
